This is the most common type of trust. Assets placed in a Nevada Revocable Trust will avoid the cost and time of being subjected to probate court upon the death of the settlor. Assets in the trust can be removed at any time, and the trust itself can be revoked any time during the lifetime of the settlor.
Nevada Asset Protection Trusts (also called NAPTs) are complex trusts designed to provide maximum protection and peace of mind. They are irrevocable, meaning that once assets are placed into them by the settlor, the settlor cannot undo the transfer. These trusts are governed by Nevada's unique asset protection statutes.
